FLISP Contact Details Gauteng

FLISP applicants in Gauteng use the national First Home Finance line, 010 085 2199, or email firsthomefinanceenquiries@nhfc.co.za, and apply online at fhf.nhfc.co.za. FLISP (the Finance Linked Individual Subsidy Programme) now trades as First Home Finance, a once-off housing subsidy developed by the Department of Human Settlements and administered nationally by the National Housing Finance Corporation (NHFC). There is no separate Gauteng FLISP branch on the official site: the national office happens to be in Sandton, and for local housing projects the programme points applicants to their nearest Human Settlements office, which in Gauteng is the provincial department in Marshalltown.

For the national page, see the FLISP contact details page.

How to contact First Home Finance from Gauteng

Call First Home Finance on 010 085 2199, or email firsthomefinanceenquiries@nhfc.co.za with questions. Complaints go to firsthomefinancecomplaints@nhfc.co.za. The contact form on firsthomefinance.co.za/contact/ lets applicants choose between enquiries, complaints and compliments. The site header also lists enquiries@firsthomefinance.co.za.

Applications are not made at an office. They go through the national online portal at fhf.nhfc.co.za, whether the applicant lives in Gauteng or elsewhere. Developers and builders should contact Business Development at fhf_bd@nhfc.co.za.

Where the FLISP offices are in Gauteng, and their hours

The First Home Finance and NHFC office is at 90 Grayston Drive, Sandown, Sandton, 2031, and is open Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 17:00. It is closed on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays.

Who FLISP is for, and how to apply

First Home Finance is for households earning R3 501 to R22 000 per month who have never owned a home or received a government housing subsidy. The subsidy ranges from R27 960 up to R121 626 depending on monthly income, and it does not have to be repaid.

  • A home loan approval or approval in principle from an accredited lender is needed. The subsidy cannot be used without a mortgage.
  • The subsidy can be used to buy an existing house, to build on an own serviced stand with an NHBRC-registered builder, or to pay house-buying costs such as conveyancing fees, a deposit or the NHBRC enrolment fee.
  • Full applications take 21 working days to process after submission.

How to apply:

  • Optional: check whether a government housing subsidy has been received before, using “Check Eligibility” on fhf.nhfc.co.za. No registration is needed.
  • Register on fhf.nhfc.co.za, log in with the One-Time-Pin and apply for pre-approval. Return the next day for the outcome.
  • Complete the full application, upload the ID or smart card, birth certificates, marriage, divorce or customary-union documents and proof of income, then submit.

Who runs FLISP, and where complaints go

The programme is administered by the NHFC. If an application was handled badly, email firsthomefinancecomplaints@nhfc.co.za or choose “Complaints” on the contact form. To report fraud involving FLISP or First Home Finance, call the NHFC Fraud and Ethics line free on 0801 212 341 or email nhfc@thehotline.co.za.
