George is the main seat of the Garden Route district, so several other courts are administered from it. Knowing which court in the group handles a matter usually matters more than the George number itself.

All four sit on the 044 code, so the code will not tell you which court you have. Plettenberg Bay is a periodical court, meaning it sits on scheduled days at the police station rather than operating continuously, and it is administered from Knysna.

George itself is at 130 York Street, 6530. Its own place of sitting is the municipal building at 71 York Street, the same street at a different number.
Applications and escalation
A Garden Route matter may be heard at any of these venues. Plettenberg Bay has no postal address of its own, so its correspondence goes to the Knysna private bag. Check the summons rather than assuming the George address.
