What this organisation provides
George Airport is one of the airports owned and run by ACSA. It serves the Garden Route, halfway between Cape Town and Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth). ACSA says the airport handles more than 700,000 passengers a year, is a national distribution hub for cargo such as flowers, fish, oysters and ferns, and has been named South African Airport of the Year six times. In February 2016 it became Africa’s first solar powered airport.

Address and operating information
ACSA publishes a postal address only: PO Box 10 000, George, 6530. The information desk is in the Arrivals area of the terminal building. It is open Monday to Thursday 06:00 to 19:00, Friday 06:00 to 20:00, Saturday 08:00 to 15:00 and Sunday 08:00 to 19:30.
Avis’s George Airport page lists opening hours of 06:30 to 19:00 from Monday to Thursday, 06:30 to 20:00 on Friday, 08:00 to 15:00 on Saturday and 08:00 to 20:00 on Sunday, with 24-hour drop-off (the page’s structured data gives 20:00 for Thursday, so check before a late return). Hertz lists 07:00 to 19:00 from Monday to Thursday, 07:00 to 20:00 on Friday, 08:00 to 15:00 on Saturday and 08:00 to 19:00 on Sunday. Hertz says its desk is closed on public holidays; Avis does not publish holiday hours.
