The main court records four places of sitting: the Centurion Traffic Court, the Sammy Marks Traffic Court, Kgosi Mampuru and Pretimed. A traffic matter is therefore likely to be heard at one of the traffic courts rather than at the main building, so check the summons rather than assuming the city centre address.

The main court is on the corner of Schoeman and Schubart Street, Pretoria, 0001, with post to Private Bag X61. Both streets have been renamed: Schoeman is now Francis Baard and Schubart is now Sophie De Bruyn, and the department lists both forms. Pretoria North is at 335 Emily Hobhouse Street, 0182, but its post goes to Private Bag X1, Pretoria North, 0116.
Applications and escalation
Pretoria North has a street code of 0182 and a postal code of 0116, which are not interchangeable. Neither court publishes an after hours domestic violence number, so an urgent protection order outside office hours goes through the nearest police station.
