Venter is one of the most common surnames among South African doctors, and at least four separate practices trade under it in different provinces and different specialities. A referral or a search result naming only Dr Venter does not identify a practice. The three with their own published websites are set out below, by what they actually do.

Official contact channels

The email addresses published for the Johannesburg plastic surgery practice are personal mailboxes on a free mail domain rather than practice addresses, so they are not reproduced here. Use the office numbers instead.

What this organisation provides

The reconstructive and cosmetic distinction matters for funding. Breast reconstruction after cancer surgery is normally a scheme benefit subject to authorisation, while purely cosmetic procedures are usually paid privately. Ask which category your procedure falls into before you book.

Address and operating information

Three provinces, three specialities. If you have a referral letter, use the practice number or the street address on it rather than the surname, because that is what a medical scheme and a hospital will match against.

Support and escalation routes

For robotic or laparoscopic surgery in particular, confirm what the scheme has authorised. These procedures are often coded differently from open surgery, and an authorisation issued for one technique does not automatically cover the other.
