Accounts is not the main number
This is the distinction most people need and the one most often missed.
A query about a bill, a statement or a payment goes to 011 358 0875, a Johannesburg landline. It does not go to the 0861 number, which handles quotations, test enquiries and results.
Ringing 0861 526 238 about an account will mean being transferred, and the account number you are calling about is the first thing the accounts team will ask for.
The mailboxes are the wrong way round
Lancet’s email addresses do not match what their names suggest, so read this before you guess one.
callcentre@lancet.co.za is the address Lancet gives for account enquiries, not for the call centre in general.

The main number spells the name

Two addresses for the head office
Lancet publishes two different street addresses for its head office, and both appear on the same website.
The contact page gives the head office as 12 Menton Road, Richmond, Johannesburg, 2092. The site footer gives the address as 4 Cedar Street, Richmond, Johannesburg, 2092.
The suburb and postal code match, so these are neighbouring addresses rather than different cities, but they are not the same building. Phone 011 358 0800 and confirm which one you need before driving there or sending anything by courier.
