Witkoppen Clinic in Fourways is a non-profit primary healthcare clinic that has operated since 1946. The clinic warns that GPS apps sometimes send people to the wrong place when given the street address. It suggests searching for Leaping Frog Shopping Centre instead, since the clinic is across the road, or using the coordinates -26.01096, 28.01084.

Fees: a primary visit costs R150 for adults and R100 for children and pensioners, including lab tests and medication. The clinic serves everyone, including people who are not South African citizens. It issues a certificate of attendance on request, not a sick note, and does not perform surgery.

The clinic is closed on weekends and public holidays, and also on the last working day of March and of September for stock-taking. Arrive early for the mainstream clinic, because only a set number of patients can be admitted each day.
Appointments and support
First visits are walk-in. Follow-up visits are scheduled through the clinic’s booking system. If you prefer a set time, Tswelopele offers booked nurse appointments at R300 and doctor appointments at R450; email TSWBookings@witkoppen.co.za. Emergency patients are fast-tracked regardless of the queue.
