Location and operating information
The Marikana complex lies about 40 km east of Rustenburg. It is operated through Western Platinum Limited and Eastern Platinum Limited. The regional PGM office that handles contact is at the Hex River Complex, Old Mine Road, Rustenburg, 0299.
The operation began as Lonrho’s Rowland Shaft in 1987 and was later run by Lonmin before it became part of Sibanye-Stillwater.
