About Sibanye-Stillwater’s operations
According to its careers page, Sibanye-Stillwater employs more than 70,000 people worldwide. It says female representation across the group rose from 16.2% in 2022 to 17.2% in 2023. In 2023, 24% of internal promotions in South Africa went to women, and 31% of new hires were female. Its training includes financial management, portable technical skills, community development and leadership development programmes.
Outside South Africa, the group runs the Keliber lithium project in Finland, with local offices in Kaustinen and Kokkola. Keliber says most mining roles there are recruited through contractors. The group also has the Sandouville operation in France, Century and Mt Lyell in Australia, Reldan in Mexico, and PGM mining and recycling in the United States.
