LegalWise Legacy Accumulator and death-related benefits
LegalWise does not offer a product called funeral assistance or funeral cover on its current website. The death-related benefit described on the site is the LegalWise Legacy Accumulator, from 1 January 2024, which is included in GoldPLUS and Platinum at no extra cost.
When the main Member dies, the Legacy Accumulator pays the nominated beneficiaries a lump sum equal to the main Member’s continuous premiums received over the most recent 36 months. It has a 3-month waiting period and is paid within 48 hours of receiving the claim documents. Claims are sent to claims@legalwise.co.za.
