LegalWise working hours, call back and toll-free number
The 24 Hour Legal Line on 086 142 7777 is available 24 hours a day. Branch hours are shown on each branch page, mostly Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:30 and Saturday 09:00 to 12:00 (see the table below). For a call back, use the Call Me Back form on legalwise.co.za: send your name and mobile number and a consultant will contact you. LegalWise publishes no 0800 toll-free number. Its lines are 086 share-call numbers.

LegalWise funeral assistance
LegalWise does not offer a product called funeral assistance or funeral cover on its current website. Its death-related benefit is the LegalWise Legacy Accumulator (from 1 January 2024), included in GoldPLUS and Platinum at no extra cost. When the main Member dies, it pays the nominated beneficiaries a lump sum equal to the main Member’s continuous premiums received over the most recent 36 months. It has a 3-month waiting period and is paid within 48 hours of receiving the claim documents. Send claims to claims@legalwise.co.za. LegalWise complaints email address
Send complaints about LegalWise’s paralegal services, member administration, sales, claims or a network lawyer to customercare@legalwise.co.za, call 086 1555 321, or use the online form on legalwise.co.za/compliments-complaints. LegalWise asks you to include your full name, contact details, membership or ID number (plus the claim reference for claims issues), the details with dates, and the resolution you want. The page also offers anonymous whistleblowing through an online portal.
If a claim is repudiated, submit a written objection within 90 days of the repudiation date. LegalWise reconsiders it within 10 days, and legal action must be instituted within 365 days.
How to cancel a LegalWise policy
LegalWise publishes no dedicated cancellation email or cancellation process. Membership changes go to member administration on 086 155 5654 or memberadmin@legalwise.co.za, or through the contact form with Membership Administration selected.
