LegalWise Durban Contact Details
LegalWise has a branch in central Durban and another in Pinetown, and both answer on the same national branch line. LegalWise gives one number, 010 271 2255, for every one of its South African branches — only the Botswana and Namibia offices have local numbers of their own.

If you are travelling in from further out, the other KwaZulu-Natal branches are Pietermaritzburg at 39 Chief Albert Luthuli Street, Empangeni at Shop 1, 22 Union Street in the Pangeni Building, Newcastle at Shop 8, Armada Place, and Ulundi at the ground floor of Fair Breeze Office Park in Princess Magogo Street.

The LegalLine is the one worth saving. It runs around the clock and puts you through to an in-house legal counsellor, which is the point of the membership — a branch visit is for paperwork, not for advice.
Head office
LegalWise head office is at 604 Kudu Street, Somerset Office Estate, Allen’s Nek, Roodepoort, on 011 670 4500. Compliments and complaints have a dedicated route on legalwise.co.za, separate from customer care, and that is the one to use if a branch has not resolved something.
Before you walk in to the Durban branch
- Take your membership number and your ID. The branch cannot pull up a policy without one of them.
- Membership tiers are Gold, GoldPLUS and Platinum, each with a different cover limit — check yours before assuming a matter is covered.
- Waiting periods apply to most benefits, so a matter that arose before you joined is usually not covered. Ask the LegalLine first; it costs nothing and saves the trip.
LegalWise also runs a separate network of attorney branches, listed on its site apart from the ordinary branches. If your matter has gone as far as litigation, that is the list to look at rather than the West Street office.
