Makro Ottery Contact Details
Makro Ottery and Makro Liquor Ottery are both at 385 Ottery Road, Ottery, Cape Town, 7808, and share the national number 0860 600 999, the WhatsApp number 060 019 7747 and the mailbox Info@makro.co.za. Neither store has its own telephone line: Makro publishes those three contact details for every store. The liquor store opens later than the main store on Sundays, at 11:00 instead of 09:00.

Makro liquor trading hours in Ottery
This is the practical difference between the two listings at the same address. Makro Ottery opens at 09:00 on Sundays and Makro Liquor Ottery opens at 11:00 on Sundays; both close at 14:00. Arriving at ten on a Sunday gets you into the main store but not into the liquor store. Weekday and Saturday hours are the same for both: 09:00 to 18:00 on weekdays and 09:00 to 17:00 on Saturdays.
Liquor trading hours are set separately from general retail hours, so confirm before travelling if a Sunday purchase is the point of the trip. The store takes WhatsApp on 060 019 7747, which gets you an answer in writing.
Why there is no Makro Ottery store number
Makro lists around 24 stores and 23 Makro Liquor outlets. Every single entry, including the head office, publishes the same three contact details: 0860 600 999, WhatsApp 060 019 7747, and Info@makro.co.za. There is no Ottery switchboard to find, and no branch extension published. If you are trying to check stock or speak to someone at that specific store, the national line is the only published route, so say which store you mean as soon as the call is answered.
The WhatsApp number is often the better option for a stock or price question, because you get an answer in writing and can send a photograph of the item.
Makro Ottery public holiday hours
Makro publishes separate public holiday hours, and they are shorter than normal trading.
- Makro Ottery: public holidays run 09:00 to 16:00 on weekdays, 08:00 to 16:00 on a Saturday and 09:00 to 16:00 on a Sunday
- Makro Liquor Ottery: 09:00 to 16:00 across weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays
- Closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day
A public holiday that falls on a Sunday is worth checking on the day, since two different sets of hours could apply.
Three Makro stores are missing from the store list
Worth knowing if you are looking for a Makro elsewhere. The store list does not include Kimberley, Rustenburg or Midrand. All three were checked by name and none appears, either as a Makro store or as a Makro Liquor outlet. Whether those branches have closed or are simply missing from the list, the site says nothing either way.
If one of those is your nearest store, phone 0860 600 999 before driving there.
Makro head office
Makro’s head office is at 16 Peltier Drive, Sunninghill, Sandton, Gauteng, 2157, and keeps its own hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00, closed on Saturdays and Sundays. It publishes the same national number and mailbox as the stores, so there is no separate head office line either.
Before you go to Makro Ottery
- Check stock before travelling, particularly for a large appliance or furniture. Makro warehouses carry different ranges and the national line or WhatsApp can confirm.
- Take your Makro card or account details if you have one, and your identity document if you are buying liquor.
- For a return or a warranty claim, bring the till slip and the original packaging where you still have it.
- The liquor store is a separate entrance and a separate set of hours from the main store, even though the address is the same.
