Makro Pietermaritzburg Contact Details
Makro PMB, the Pietermaritzburg store, is at 5 Brayford Road, Camps Drift. Makro runs one national number for every store: 0860 600 999, with WhatsApp on 060 019 7747 and email to info@makro.co.za. We read these details on makro.co.za on 23 September 2026.
Makro PMB contact number and address
| Contact number | 0860 600 999 |
|---|---|
| 060 019 7747 | |
| info@makro.co.za | |
| Address | 5 Brayford Road, Camps Drift, Pietermaritzburg, 3201 |
| Monday to Friday | 09:00 to 18:00 |
| Saturday | 08:00 to 17:00 |
| Sunday | 09:00 to 16:00 |
| Public holidays | Weekdays 09:00 to 16:00, Saturday 08:00 to 17:00, Sunday 09:00 to 16:00 |
Makro states that its stores are closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
There is no separate direct line published for the Pietermaritzburg store. Every Makro store, including this one, lists the same 0860 600 999 number, the same WhatsApp line and the same mailbox, so anyone offering you a “direct Makro PMB number” that differs from these is not quoting Makro’s own site.
Makro Liquor Pietermaritzburg
| Address | 5 Brayford Road, Camps Drift, Pietermaritzburg, 3201 |
|---|---|
| Contact | 0860 600 999, WhatsApp 060 019 7747, info@makro.co.za |
| Monday to Friday | 09:00 to 18:00 |
| Saturday | 08:00 to 17:00 |
| Sunday | 09:00 to 16:00 |
| Public holidays | Weekdays 09:00 to 16:00, Saturday 09:00 to 17:00, Sunday 09:00 to 16:00 |
Makro lists its liquor stores separately from the main stores, even where they share a site as they do in Pietermaritzburg. The liquor hours differ slightly from the store hours on public holidays, so check both rows above before driving out for a public holiday shop.
Contact centre hours
The contact centre that answers 0860 600 999 keeps its own hours, which are shorter than the store’s:
- Monday to Saturday: 08:00 to 17:00.
- Sunday and public holidays: 09:00 to 16:00.
- Closed on Good Friday, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
- Open until 14:00 on the Day of Goodwill.
So a query at 17:30 on a weekday will not be answered even though the Pietermaritzburg store is still trading. WhatsApp on 060 019 7747 is the alternative for online and general enquiries.
Other KwaZulu-Natal Makro stores
| Store | Address |
|---|---|
| Springfield | 90 Electron Road, Umgeni Business Park, Durban, 4001 |
| Amanzimtoti | 12 Arbour Road, Umbogintwini, eManzimtoti, 4126 |
| Cornubia | Umganu Road, Flanders, Blackburn, 4319 |
All three keep the same weekday and weekend hours as Pietermaritzburg and use the same national contact details.
The rest of the Makro network
Makro’s store finder currently lists 23 stores. In Gauteng: Germiston, Crown Mines, Centurion, Woodmead, Strubens Valley, Wonderboom, Silver Lakes, Vaal, Alberton, Carnival and Riversands. In KwaZulu-Natal: Pietermaritzburg, Springfield, Amanzimtoti and Cornubia. Elsewhere: East London, Gqeberha, Ottery, Cape Gate, Montague Gardens, Bloemfontein, Polokwane and Mbombela.
If the branch you are looking for is not on that list, check the store finder before travelling rather than relying on an older listing elsewhere. Makro’s head office is at 16 Peltier Drive, Sunninghill, Sandton, 2157, and works Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00, closed at weekends. It is an office, not a shop, and it uses the same 0860 600 999 number.
What the number can and cannot do
- Online orders, deliveries, payments, returns and general enquiries are what the contact centre handles.
- Stock on the shelf in Pietermaritzburg is not something a national line can see reliably; ask them to confirm with the store before you travel.
- The returns policy, terms and conditions and FAQs are published on makro.co.za, and quoting the returns policy usually resolves a return faster than arguing at the counter.
- Have your order number or the till slip ready; the agents work from those, not from your name.
Getting to the Camps Drift store
Camps Drift is the industrial and retail strip along the Msunduzi River, south of the Pietermaritzburg CBD, and Brayford Road runs off it. The store sits on the same site as Makro Liquor Pietermaritzburg, so one trip covers both, and the trading hours in the two tables above are all but identical.
Makro is a warehouse-format retailer, so plan for a trolley-and-bulk trip rather than a quick stop. If you are collecting an online order, take the order number and the ID of the person named on the order: collections are checked against both. For a delivery that has not arrived, the contact centre works from the order number, and WhatsApp on 060 019 7747 is usually quicker than the phone queue on a Saturday.
