This trips people up because the brand runs a separate site per country. oceanbasket.com is the global site, and it lists country sites for South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Kenya, Nigeria, Mauritius, and further afield in Europe and the Middle East.

South Africa is at za.oceanbasket.com, and oceanbasket.co.za redirects there. Its restaurant finder is the page marked “Find an OB”.

Boksburg has several shopping centres

Worth pinning down before you go. Boksburg is a large East Rand town with more than one major retail centre, and a restaurant listed simply as “Boksburg” does not tell you which.

Identify the centre, not just the town, when booking a table or raising a complaint. If you ordered through a delivery platform, the order history names the branch.

011 and 010 are the East Rand codes. A number offered for a Boksburg restaurant on a Cape Town or Durban code is not it.

If a meal goes wrong

Raise it with the restaurant manager before you leave. That resolves far more than a call afterwards, and most outlets are franchised, so the branch owner is the person who can act.
