The Foschini Group (TFG) runs recruitment for its retail brands through a central careers portal rather than a published HR desk. The routes below were read from tfglimited.co.za on 2 September 2026.
Task scope
This page covers reaching TFG about employment – applying for a role, checking an application, or querying something as an employee – across brands including Foschini, Markham, Sportscene, Totalsports, Jet and the Bash platform.
Route
TFG publishes no HR telephone number and no recruitment email address. Its careers site is an application portal, not a contact page. The published routes are:

The customer service line is for shopping matters. It is not a recruitment line and cannot check an application, but it is the only published voice route into the group.
Requirements
Applications go through the portal, which means emailing or dropping off a CV achieves nothing – there is no mailbox published to receive one, and store staff do not process applications.
TFG groups its openings by area: retail, manufacturing, technology, and specialist and support services. It also publishes Youth Workplace Opportunities and learning and development programmes, which are the realistic entry point for a first job rather than a general application.
Register on the portal with a working email address and keep the reference for each application – without a published HR contact, that record is your only way to identify a specific application later.
Steps
Search the portal, apply to the specific role, and wait for contact through the portal or the email address you registered. Because no HR line exists, chasing by phone is not available – reapplying to newer postings is the practical alternative.
Recruitment scams use big retail names, and TFG is a common one. Treat these as fraud without exception: a request for payment for an application, an interview, a uniform, training or a “placement fee”; a job offer arriving by WhatsApp or SMS from a personal number with no interview; a request for your bank details or ID before any formal offer.
A genuine employer does not charge you to be employed. If an approach cannot be traced back to a posting on the official portal, it is not TFG.
Escalation
For an employment matter that TFG does not resolve internally, an employee may refer a dispute to the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA), which handles unfair dismissal and unfair labour practice claims at no cost. Wage, leave and working-hours complaints go to the Department of Employment and Labour.
Report a recruitment scam using the TFG name to the South African Police Service, and to TFG through its published channels so the group can warn others.
