Booking.com does not publish a general customer service telephone number. Its contact page routes you by who you are and what you need, and support for an existing reservation is reached through your booking rather than through a public number.
Official contact channels
- Help with an existing booking: the My Bookings page on Booking.com
- General questions: the Help Center
- Properties and hosts: Partner Support and the Partner Community
- Booking.com for Business: a separate published route
- Press: the Press Centre
- Legal information and Digital Services Act enquiries: published separately
- Public authorities: a dedicated official request route
- Corporate contact and offices worldwide: published on the Booking.com site
Numbers circulating for Booking.com on directory sites are not published on its own contact page, and this page does not repeat them. Travel-booking impersonation is a well-known fraud pattern, and a number found elsewhere cannot be checked against the company’s own source.
The practical route for a live reservation is the My Bookings page. Support attached to a specific reservation can see the property, the dates and the payment, which a general enquiry cannot.
What this organisation provides
Booking.com is an online travel agency listing accommodation, flights, car rental, attractions and airport taxis. It acts as an intermediary between travellers and the properties and suppliers it lists, which is the single most important thing to understand before contacting anyone.
Where a stay is booked directly with a property through the platform, the property usually holds the reservation and sets the cancellation terms. Where the booking was prepaid through Booking.com, the platform holds the payment. Establishing which applies to your reservation determines who can actually change or refund it.
Partner Support is a separate operation from traveller support, so a property with a listing problem and a guest with a booking problem go to different teams.
Address and operating information
Booking.com publishes an offices-worldwide page rather than a single service address, and it does not publish contact centre operating hours on its contact page. It is headquartered in the Netherlands and operates internationally rather than as a South African company.
Because it is an international platform, a South African traveller’s dispute may involve the platform, an overseas property and a payment made in another currency, which is worth bearing in mind on timelines.
Support and escalation routes
Have the booking confirmation number, the PIN where one was issued, the property name and the travel dates. Booking.com identifies reservations by confirmation number, and a name and date alone are usually not enough.
Contact the property directly for anything about the stay itself β early check-in, a room preference, an accessibility need. The property answers faster than the platform for its own operations.
For unresolved disputes, a South African consumer’s route depends on where the counterparty sits. The National Consumer Commission handles consumer complaints in South Africa, though enforcement against an offshore platform is limited; for a card payment, a chargeback through your bank is often the more practical remedy.
