Before you call, know the access rule: Sun City states that entry is limited to hotel and Sun Vacation Club residents, existing MVG members, guests with confirmed golf bookings, and holders of pre-purchased Valley of Waves day visitor tickets. Day tickets must be bought in advance through TicketPro because on-site ticket sales are not available, and daily availability is limited.

What this organisation provides

Sun City is a resort destination in the North West province next to the Pilanesberg National Park. It has four hotels, the Cabanas, the Cascades, the Sun City Hotel and the Palace, plus Sun Vacation Club accommodation at Lefika Villas, the Aviary and the Reserve. On site there are casinos, two championship golf courses, the Valley of Waves water park, restaurants, conferencing venues and a range of adventure activities.

Address and operating information

Note that the resort number and the reservations number are different lines run by different teams: the 014 number is the resort itself in North West, while the 011 number is Sun International central reservations in Gauteng. Use the groups and events mailbox rather than the general one for a conference, wedding or block booking, since those are handled by a separate desk and a general enquiry will be forwarded anyway.

For a booking problem, quote your reservation number and use central reservations, since the resort switchboard does not hold the central booking record. Sun City is a licensed gambling operation, so a complaint about casino conduct goes to the provincial regulator, which for Sun City is the North West Gambling Board rather than a national body. Sun International publishes the National Responsible Gambling Programme toll free counselling helpline as 0800 006 008, and you can also send the word help by WhatsApp to 076 675 0710. A general consumer complaint about goods or services falls under the Consumer Protection Act and can go to the National Consumer Commission.
