It is a hotel, casino and convention resort at Burgersfort in Limpopo, operated by Peermont, whose group switchboard in Johannesburg is 011 928 1000. Thaba Moshate contact details at a glance

• Property telephone: 013 045 0450, published as +27 (0)13 045 0450
• Address: R555 Steelpoort Road, Burgersfort, Limpopo 1150
• Peermont group switchboard: 011 928 1000
• Peermont group email: info@peermont.com

Use the property number for a room, a table, a function or anything happening on site. The group number in Johannesburg is a corporate switchboard and will simply route you back to Burgersfort for an operational query, which costs you a call.

The resort publishes no property level email address, only the group one, so a written enquiry to info@peermont.com should name Thaba Moshate in the subject line. Otherwise it arrives at a group inbox that handles a dozen properties across two countries.

What this organisation provides

The property combines accommodation, a casino and showbar, conference and convention facilities and a spa, which is why the same number answers questions about very different things. Say at the outset whether you are calling about a room, an event or the casino floor, because those are separate operations inside one building.

It sits on the R555 Steelpoort road rather than in the middle of Burgersfort, in the Limpopo platinum and chrome mining belt, and much of its conference trade comes from that industry. That matters for availability: a mid week block booking by a mining contractor can fill a property that looks quiet on a weekend.

Address and finding the resort

R555 Steelpoort Road, Burgersfort, Limpopo 1150. The resort publishes map coordinates alongside the street address on its own page, which is worth using, because a rural provincial road address can resolve poorly in a navigation app.

Complaints and gambling escalation

Gambling has its own regulator and its own helpline, and both are separate from an ordinary hotel complaint. Peermont publishes the national problem gambling toll free helpline as 0800 006 008, and states that players must be eighteen or older. If you are dealing with a gambling problem rather than a service complaint, that helpline is the route, and it is free and confidential.

A casino operates under a licence issued by the provincial gambling authority, so a complaint about gaming conduct, a disputed payout or a self exclusion request belongs with the Limpopo Gambling Board, with the National Gambling Board above the provincial boards. A complaint about the hotel side, a booking, a rate or the standard of a room, is an ordinary consumer matter and goes to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud on 0860 000 272 once the property has had a chance to resolve it. Keep the booking reference either way.

One detail if you are travelling on within the group. Peermont also runs properties in Botswana, where the minimum gambling age is twenty one rather than eighteen, so a member of your party who may play in Limpopo may not be able to play in Gaborone or Francistown.
