What they take and how the money works
- Paper and paper packaging: cardboard and corrugated boxes, office and printing paper, newspaper, magazines and beverage cartons
- This is a buy-back operation, not a free waste service. Material is weighed at the depot and paid for by grade, so sorted and dry paper is worth more than a mixed load
- Contaminated, wet or food-soiled paper is downgraded or refused. Keep it out of the rain and out of the same bag as food waste
- Phone ahead for a large load. Receiving hours and current grade rates are set per depot
- Collections for businesses and estates are arranged through the toll-free lines rather than by arriving unannounced
