Takealot publishes no telephone number and no email address for Marketplace sellers. Its seller portal, its Sell on Takealot page and its Help Centre were all checked and none of them carries one. Seller support runs entirely through the Seller Portal, as a ticket raised from inside your own logged-in account.

The route that works

Raising the ticket from inside the portal matters, because the ticket arrives already attached to your seller account. A message sent from outside it has to be identified and matched before anyone can look at your data, which is what makes an out-of-band approach slow even when it eventually works.

What to put in a seller ticket

Sellers usually get slow answers because the first reply is a request for these identifiers. Supplying them in the opening message removes a full round trip.

Be careful with seller support numbers you find online

Because Takealot publishes nothing, third-party blogs and forums fill the gap with numbers presented as seller support. Those are not Takealot numbers. A seller is a more valuable target than a shopper, because a seller has stock in a warehouse, a bank account on file for remittances and portal credentials worth stealing. Nobody legitimately acting for Takealot will phone you to ask for your portal password, a one-time password, or a change to your banking details. Treat a call about your remittance account as fraudulent until you have confirmed it inside the portal.
