Side Step Contact Details

Verified 6 September 2026Official source onlyIndependent directoryReport a wrong number

Side Step is a footwear retailer with stores across South Africa and into Namibia, Botswana and Lesotho. Two things about its contact details are worth knowing before you dial: the head office keeps short hours, and the support mailbox is on a different brand’s domain.

Official contact details

The hours are shorter than you expect

  • Monday to Thursday: 09:00 to 16:30
  • Friday: 09:00 to 16:00
  • Saturday and Sunday: closed

A retailer whose shops trade seven days a week has a head office that does not. Nine to half past four on a weekday is a narrow window, and it closes earlier still on a Friday, so a Saturday delivery problem waits until Monday unless the store itself can help.

Why the email says studio-88

Side Step sits inside the Studio 88 group, which is why support runs on a studio-88.co.za address. The site’s own footer names the operating company as Blue Falcon 188 Trading (Pty) Ltd. None of that is a red flag — it is simply the corporate structure showing through, and support@studio-88.co.za is the correct address for a Side Step query.

Store or online, and who answers

Head office does not hold a store’s stock list. For “do you have this in a size 9”, use the Store Locator and phone that store. For an order you placed online — delivery, a refund, a return — use Track Your Parcel first, then the head office number or the support address with the order number in hand.

Lay-buy

Side Step offers a lay-buy option, and it is worth getting the terms in writing before you start one. Ask what the deposit is, how long you have to pay it off, what happens to the goods if you miss an instalment, and what you get back if you cancel. A lay-buy is a credit-adjacent arrangement and the cancellation terms are where people are caught out.

Sneaker buying, and the counterfeit problem

  • Limited-release sneakers are heavily counterfeited and heavily scammed in South Africa. A pair advertised well below retail, sold over social media and payable only by EFT, is the standard pattern.
  • Buy from the store or from side-step.co.za, pay by card so you have a chargeback route, and keep the slip.
  • A defective pair is returnable under the Consumer Protection Act regardless of a shop’s own returns policy — that is a right, not a favour.

If it is not resolved

Put it in writing to support@studio-88.co.za with the order or till slip number and ask for a reference. A retail dispute that stays unresolved can go to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud, free to consumers.
