One telephone number and one WhatsApp number serve both the enquiry desk and the sales desk, so say at the start whether you are receiving a parcel or sending one. BUFFALO does not publish operating hours for any of these channels.
What this organisation provides
Buffalo International describes itself as a logistics provider offering eCommerce fulfilment, international logistics and courier services across South Africa. Its about page says the company opened new distribution centres in South Africa in October 2022, and that its team aims for a lead time of 7 to 14 days from China to the final destination. The site also sets out the benefits of the SARS Authorised Economic Operator (Security) programme for Buffalo SA, which concerns customs clearance and supply chain security.
Tracking is also available in the BUFFALO app, which the site links on Google Play, the Apple App Store and Huawei AppGallery. Several unrelated searches share the word “Buffalo”. Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality in East London and the Buffalo Toyota dealership each have their own pages on this site, linked below; they are not connected to the courier.
Address and operating information
BUFFALO’s website does not publish a physical address, a depot list or collection-point hours. Its privacy policy page gives only the same telephone number and email addresses. If a delivery driver asks you to collect a parcel somewhere, confirm the address with 010 510 9307 before you travel.
The Conditions of Carriage on the site set out several rules worth knowing before you sign for a parcel:
- Damage must be written on the driver’s run sheet when the parcel is received, and a formal written claim must reach the courier within 7 days of delivery.
- A claim for non-delivery must be made in writing within 30 days of the courier receiving the goods. A claim not made in writing and in time is treated as waived.
- Liability for loss or damage is capped at R500 per parcel (per bar-coded label), subject to the other clauses.
- Goods are stored for a maximum of seven days.
Support and escalation routes
- Check the parcel status on the Track My Order page, then use “Report a problem” on the contact form and quote your tracking number.
- For damage or a missing parcel, put the claim in writing to support@buffaloex.co.za inside the 7-day or 30-day window, and keep photos and the tracking number.
- If there is no reply, follow up on 010 510 9307 or WhatsApp 067 758 6614 and ask for a reference number.
- An unresolved consumer complaint about the service can go to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud: 0860 000 272, WhatsApp 081 335 3005, info@cgso.org.za.
BUFFALO’s footer links to a Fraud Awareness page, but it carried no text when we read it. Treat any SMS or email asking for an extra fee to release a parcel with caution, and check it against the official numbers above before you pay anything.
