Telkom Fibre Contact Details

Verified 16 September 2026Official source onlyIndependent directoryReport a wrong number

Telkom fibre faults and technical problems go to 10210, the number Telkom gives for technical support on fixed broadband, which includes fibre. Telkom’s fibre FAQs say this applies even when the line runs on a partner network such as Vumatel or Frogfoot. You can also log a fault online at apps.telkom.co.za/logafault with your Telkom number. Billing, sales and cancelling a fibre package go to 10213. These details were read on telkom.co.za and in Telkom’s fibre FAQs and service charter on group.telkom.co.za on 16 September 2026.

ContactDetails.co.za is an independent directory, not Telkom or Openserve. We cannot test a line or book a technician.

Telkom publishes no fibre-only phone number and no fibre-only WhatsApp line. Its WhatsApp service is described as self-service for account tasks, not as a fault desk, so a line that is down should be reported on 10210 or the online fault form. Telkom’s contact page does not publish call centre hours for 10210 or 10213, and gives no postal address for customer queries. For face-to-face help it points to the store locator on telkom.co.za.

Product or service support

Telkom SA SOC Limited sells fibre as an internet service provider over several networks: its own group’s Openserve network, and Frogfoot, Vumatel and MetroFibre where they cover your address. Telkom Core Fibre is asymmetrical (50/25 or 100/50 Mbps) and Telkom Endless Fibre is symmetrical at lower speeds, with options up to 500/250 Mbps; both are uncapped with no fair usage policy. There is also Telkom Easy Connect Fibre and a prepaid Compact-Fibre product on Openserve.

When reporting a fault on a partner-network fibre line, Telkom says the serial number (SN) or your customer ID can be used as the reference. Telkom’s service charter says planned interruptions are announced by SMS or on its website seven days ahead and again the day before, so check for a notice before logging a fault.

Eligibility, account or policy requirements

Useful rules from Telkom’s fibre FAQs:

  • On partner networks, the network operator’s technicians install the line, and appointments are agreed by phone first; Telkom says no technician arrives unannounced.
  • Telkom couriers the router once the order is activated and sends the username and password by SMS or email.
  • You may use your own ICASA-approved, TR-069 compliant fibre router, but Telkom will not support its setup.
  • Cancelling a 12-month contract early brings a pro-rata charge for the remaining router and installation cost.
  • On prepaid Compact-Fibre, a call-out fee applies when a technician is asked to attend a fault caused on the customer’s side, and Telkom credits data for downtime caused by a fault on its network.

Escalation route

  1. Log the fibre fault on 10210 or the online fault form. Telkom commits to acknowledging a complaint within 48 hours with a reference number.
  2. If the fault is not fixed within 14 days, or you disagree with the outcome, email the Escalation Centre at NatCC@telkom.co.za and quote that reference.
  3. If the Escalation Centre does not resolve it, complain to ICASA at consumer@icasa.org.za or on 012 568 3000.

Keep a note of the date the service went down. Telkom’s charter says you are entitled to a rebate for contracted services you paid for but did not receive, limited to the days of service lost and pro-rated against your subscription.
