Before you pay a registration fee, read the section on Damelin’s registration status: the Department of Higher Education and Training’s own register differs from what Damelin’s website says. We read damelin.co.za and the DHET registers on 16 September 2026.

Admissions and student support

Apply online at apply.damelin.co.za or call registration on 0861 999 670. Damelin does not publish application closing dates. Its FAQ says campuses accept walk-in registrations and online applications during registration periods, and tells you to ask a student consultant for enrolment times.

Under Damelin’s enrolment terms, the registration fee is non-refundable. A cancellation must be made in writing on Damelin’s cancellation form, and it only takes effect once Damelin confirms receipt. Approved refunds take at least 90 days to be paid.

Damelin is a private college offering higher certificates, diplomas, degrees and short learning programmes, full time and part time, in commerce, science and technology, humanities and education. Its website states that Damelin (Pty) Ltd is registered with the DHET as a private higher education institution (certificate 2001/HE07/009), that its programmes are accredited by the Council on Higher Education, and that it holds provisional registration as a private college (2008/FE07/089) and QCTO accreditation.

The DHET Register of Private Higher Education Institutions, last updated 12 August 2026, lists Damelin (Pty) Ltd, 2001/HE07/009, in its section of institutions whose registration is cancelled. The stated reason is that it ceased to meet the registration criteria after failing to submit required documents, including auditor’s reports, a tax clearance certificate and proof of its financial guarantee. The register gives 27 January 2026 as the date the cancellation took effect and says existing students must be phased out by 31 December 2026. The same section notes that institutions may appeal to the Minister within 60 days. Damelin does not appear by name in the DHET Register of Private Colleges updated on 16 September 2026. Separately, DHET’s warning list of illegal colleges includes an entry for a “Damelin Correspondence College”. Before enrolling, confirm the current status of the specific qualification with DHET.

The campuses page also still shows Centurion, Pretoria, Boksburg, Pietermaritzburg and East London, although the same page says there are six campuses. Phone before visiting any campus.

Escalation routes

1. Raise academic, fee or certificate problems with student services at your campus, in writing, and keep your student number on every message.
2. If the campus does not resolve it, email customercare@damelin.co.za with your campus, student number and the history of the complaint.
