Debt Collectors Contact Details
To check a debt collector or complain about one in South Africa, contact the Council for Debt Collectors (CFDC) on 012 804 9808 or info@cfdc.org.za. The CFDC is the regulator every debt collector must register with, and it runs a live register you can search by name, company, registration number or postal code. These details were read on cfdc.org.za on 16 September 2026, together with Nimble Group’s own contact page for readers searching for that collector.
ContactDetails.co.za is an independent directory. We are not a debt collector or the CFDC, we do not buy or collect debt, and we cannot tell you what you owe.

The CFDC does not collect debts and cannot settle, reduce or cancel an account. For the balance, a payment arrangement or a settlement letter, contact the collector named on the letter, SMS or call you received, then use the CFDC if the collector cannot show registration or behaves unlawfully.
What this organisation provides
The Council for Debt Collectors was set up by the Debt Collectors Act 114 of 1998. It registers debt collectors, monitors them against the code of conduct and controls the fees they may charge. The CFDC defines a debt collector as any person or company, other than an attorney or an attorney’s employee, who collects a debt for someone else by email, phone or in person. Property managers who collect arrear rent or levies count as debt collectors too. Collecting without registration is a criminal offence.
The CFDC’s FAQ says a registered collector must show proof of registration when you ask. It also lists your rights as a debtor: to get legal advice before signing anything such as an acknowledgement of debt, to be treated with dignity and confidentiality, not to be harassed, humiliated or threatened, to receive a free statement once every six months on request, and not to be contacted before 6 in the morning, after 9 at night, or on a Sunday.
Nimble Group is one of the collectors people search for most. Its site says it helps people settle debts and invites anyone who received an email, SMS or call from it to get in touch. On the CFDC register, Nimble Credit Solutions 1 (Pty) Ltd and Nimble Credit Solutions 2 (Pty) Ltd are both listed with valid registrations. For “DCM”, a company-name search of the register on 16 September 2026 returned no firm by that name. Initials are often not a registered name, so ask the caller for the full company name and CFDC registration number before you pay anything.
Address and operating information
The Council for Debt Collectors’ office is at 310 Brooks Street, Menlopark, Pretoria, 0081. The CFDC notes that its register is updated live, and that if you cannot find a collector on it you should contact the office to verify the details rather than assume the collector is unregistered.
Nimble Group’s South African head office is the Brickfield Call Centre, 35 Brickfield Road, Woodstock, Cape Town, 7925. Nimble lists its Cape Town (021 830 0750) and Johannesburg (011 253 7168) reception numbers under “Client Queries”, separately from customer care. For your own account, its “Get in touch about your account” section points to 087 286 0222, the WhatsApp line and the customer care mailbox.
Support and escalation routes
- Ask the collector for its full identity and CFDC registration, the original creditor, what the debt is for and when it arose, and the total including interest and collection costs. The CFDC advises against giving bank details or your ID number over the phone.
- Check the registration on the CFDC register, or call 012 804 9808 to confirm it.
- If the collector acts unlawfully, complain to the CFDC. Complaints must be in writing and under oath, and can be lodged online, by email to info@cfdc.org.za, or on the complaint form in the Downloads section of cfdc.org.za.
The CFDC also says not to avoid a registered collector: cooperating lets you make a proper arrangement to pay. If you are already under debt review, speak to your debt counsellor before agreeing to a separate arrangement.
