Debt Solutions 4 U, which also trades as DS4U, is a South African debt counselling practice based in Centurion, Gauteng. It handles debt review remotely for clients across the country. Official contact channels

The telephone number and email address on the firm’s website match the ones on its NCR register entry. The WhatsApp number is published on the website only. DS4U runs its process through its own chat service, DS Chat, and the website’s “talk to a counsellor” button opens a WhatsApp conversation. If you would rather talk to someone, use the landline.

What this organisation provides

DS4U offers debt review: a registered debt counsellor assesses what you owe, proposes lower repayments to your creditors, and asks for the plan to be made legally binding under section 86 of the National Credit Act. After that you make one monthly payment, which is paid out to your creditors for you. The firm offers a free first assessment. It lists home loans, vehicle finance, personal loans, store accounts and credit cards among the debts it restructures.

The website says DS4U works in partnership with Debt Free with Armani, a separate NCR-registered practice (NCRDC1015, Tania Dekker, based in Benoni). So your paperwork may name a counsellor from either practice. Check whichever NCRDC number appears on your documents.

The NCR register still shows the counsellor’s older address, 193A Van Riebeeck Avenue, Lyttelton Manor, Centurion. If you need to send documents or visit, confirm the current address by phone first. The company trading as Debt Solutions 4 U is Debt Solutions (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2020/461240/07.

Support and escalation routes

The registered debt counsellor is Rowan Gary Breeds, NCR registration NCRDC2423. We checked it on the NCR’s public register: it is listed as registered, with Debt Solutions 4 U as the trading name. Only an NCR-registered debt counsellor may place you under debt review. Search the counsellor’s name on the register before you sign anything. The register searches the counsellor’s personal name, not the firm’s trading name, so a search for the firm name alone will not find this entry.

While you are under debt review, a flag sits on your credit record and you cannot take new credit. The flag is lifted once you receive a clearance certificate. Debt counselling fees are capped under NCR guidelines, so ask for the fee breakdown in writing before you agree.

Raise a complaint with the firm first, quoting your reference number and the relevant dates. If it is not resolved:

  • The National Credit Regulator regulates debt counsellors and takes complaints about them
  • The National Financial Ombud Scheme resolves credit and debt disputes free of charge
  • The National Consumer Tribunal hears matters referred under the National Credit Act
