The Bidvest Group head office in Melrose Arch, Johannesburg, answers on 011 772 8700 and takes email at info@bidvest.co.za. Bidvest is a group of many separate businesses, though, so a question about a bank account, an insurance policy, a car or a security contract is usually answered faster by that business’s own line, listed below. Bidvest’s group website publishes no call centre for customers of its operating companies and no WhatsApp line. Bidvest Services South Africa is listed with an email address only; no phone number for that division appears on bidvest.co.za. Bidvest Insurance lists its office hours as Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00 and Saturday 08:00 to 13:00.
What this organisation provides
Bidvest describes itself as a business-to-business services, trading and distribution group. It reports through six divisions:
- Services South Africa: guarding, technical security, cash and coin processing, aviation security, air cargo, pet lounges, travel management, the Bidvest Premier Lounges, catering, laundry, water coolers, plants and landscaping.
- Services International: facilities management, hygiene and cleaning services.
- Freight: terminals, logistics, bulk liquid and dry bulk storage, port and container services.
- Branded Products: office products, data, print and packaging, and household consumer products.
- Commercial Products: plumbing and electrical products, catering equipment, tools, workwear, industrial products and renewable energy.
- Automotive: Bidvest McCarthy’s franchised dealerships, which Bidvest says number 85 (82 in South Africa and three in Namibia), vehicle auctions, the Cubbi used car business and vehicle insurance.
Bidvest Financial Services, which includes Bidvest Bank, Bidvest Insurance and Bidvest Life, is presented on the group site alongside these, and Adcock Ingram and Bidvest Properties sit under other investments.

Bidvest gives its postal address as 2nd Floor, Bidvest House, 18 Crescent Drive, Melrose Arch, Gauteng 2196. The head office handles group matters such as shareholder, media and corporate queries. It does not keep customer records for the operating companies, so for an invoice, a vehicle service or a policy, contact the company named on your paperwork.

Support and escalation routes
- Start with the Bidvest company that sold you the product or service, using the number or email on your invoice, policy schedule or contract.
- If that company does not respond, write to the group at info@bidvest.co.za, naming the company, your reference and what you have already tried.
- Report fraud, corruption or misconduct to the ethics hotline on 0800 506 090 or bidvest@tip-offs.com. Bidvest’s code of ethics says management will take all reasonable steps to protect people who report from reprisals.
