For Vodacom Easy To Own queries and complaints, call Vodacom Customer Care on 082 135 or email customercare@vodacom.co.za. Easy To Own is Vodacom’s prepaid device-lease product: you lease a handset and pay for it through Unlock Bundles bought with airtime. It is a Vodacom product, not a separate company, so all support runs through Vodacom Customer Care.

Easy To Own contact number and email

Vodacom’s Easy To Own device lease terms name one support route for queries and complaints: Vodacom Customer Care on 082 135, or by email to customercare@vodacom.co.za. Vodacom does not publish a separate Easy To Own call centre. There is no separate Easy To Own address or operating hours in the terms either: applications are made in-store at a Vodacom store, and support is by phone or email through Customer Care.

Lost or stolen Easy To Own device

If your Easy To Own device is stolen or lost, you must report it to Vodacom immediately on 082 135 and ask for the device to be blacklisted. The rentals remain payable after a loss or theft.

How the Easy To Own lease works

Easy To Own is a lease, not a contract or postpaid product. The main points in the terms are:

  • Unlock Bundles: the device is unlocked by buying Unlock Bundles of 1, 7 or 30 days. Each bundle has a Rental Component, credited toward the device, and a Service Component of daily minutes and data.
  • Rental Period: set in your Lease Schedule, for example 24 calendar months.
  • Guaranteed Purchase Price: if you selected it at the start, you can buy the device at the end of the lease.
  • Locking: a Soft-Locked device unlocks automatically when you buy a new Unlock Bundle. Before a Hard Lock, Vodacom gives at least 10 business days’ written notice by email or SMS.

Who can apply for Easy To Own

Easy To Own is available to Vodacom Prepaid customers who pass a Vodacom scoring analysis. Vodacom runs ID validation and a light credit and/or affordability assessment, which may include credit bureau data.

  • Apply in a Vodacom store with a valid South African ID.
  • Vodacom scores your eligibility.
  • Once you have the device, buy 1, 7 or 30-day Unlock Bundles with airtime to keep it unlocked.

Ending the lease early and complaints

To end the lease early, give 20 business days’ written notice and either return the device or buy it. You remain liable for rentals already accrued and for reasonable early-cancellation charges.

Queries and complaints both go to Vodacom Customer Care on 082 135 or customercare@vodacom.co.za. Vodacom does not publish a separate escalation line for Easy To Own in its terms.

For other networks and internet providers, see the telecoms and internet hub or the A to E telecoms directory.
