WesBank Vehicle Finance Contact Details
WesBank splits vehicle finance support by stage. Applying through a dealership? The New Business line is 0861 137 137 (finance@wesbank.co.za). Buying from a private seller uses 0861 900 900 (privatefinance@wesbank.co.za). Once the agreement is running, arrears, payment arrangements and theft or write-off reports are handled through Quick Account Actions on wesbank.co.za, with Account Enquiries on 0861 288 272 as the human back-up. We read these details on wesbank.co.za and its Help Centre on 16 September 2026.
ContactDetails.co.za is an independent directory. We are not WesBank or FirstRand, and we cannot approve finance, take a payment or stop a repossession.

WesBank lists no email address for arrears or collections, and no WhatsApp line. Requests about an existing account go through the online profile at selfservice.wesbank.co.za. WesBank is a division of FirstRand Bank Ltd, registered credit provider NCRCP20. Its head office sits at 1 Enterprise Road in Fairland (postal code 2170).
Product or service support
Paying. You can pay by debit order, by EFT using your WesBank account number as the reference, or by cash or cheque at an FNB branch. An EFT from an FNB account shows the next day. From another bank it can take up to two business days, and cheques take 10 business days to clear. If you change your debit order bank account, tell WesBank at least five business days before the instalment is due.
Theft or write-off. After a theft or write-off, give WesBank your insurer, your policy number and, for a theft, the police case number. Keep paying instalments until the insurer settles the account. De-registration only happens once the insurer has finished assessing the vehicle.
Eligibility, account or policy requirements
Applying. WesBank’s basic requirements are that you are over 18, a South African citizen or permanent resident, hold a valid driving licence and earn at least R7 500 a month. You need your ID, proof of address no older than three months, three months of bank statements and a recent payslip. Finance for cars and bakkies starts at R30 000. WesBank’s Fast Application tool can give approval in under 10 minutes if you qualify, and gives you a reference to take to a dealer. For private sales, WesBank deals with the seller, arranges a roadworthy and technical inspection, and pays the seller once you accept the results. You sign the contract online through iContract, using the account number and PIN WesBank emails to you.
Falling behind. Arrears attract arrear interest and default administration charges. WesBank warns that if the account stays unpaid, the credit provider could take legal action and you could lose the vehicle. A payment arrangement does not replace your normal instalment, which must still be paid, and your credit bureau record still shows the arrears. The Help Centre articles we read do not describe a voluntary surrender or repossession procedure, so ask on 0861 288 272 before you hand a vehicle back.
Settling early. On an agreement under R250 000, the settlement amount is generally the outstanding capital plus daily interest. On larger agreements WesBank adds an early termination fee equal to 90 days’ interest. A settlement quote is valid for five business days.
Escalation route
- Submit the complaint form linked from WesBank’s Complaints procedure page. You get a reference number, and WesBank acknowledges the complaint within 24 hours.
- If the outcome does not satisfy you, refer the finance dispute to the National Financial Ombud Scheme on 0860 800 900 or info@nfosa.co.za.
- For a complaint about the credit agreement itself, WesBank also lists the National Credit Regulator on 0860 627 627 or complaints@ncr.org.za.
- A fault with the vehicle is a matter for the dealer first, then the Motor Industry Ombudsman of South Africa (010 590 8378, info@miosa.co.za), not the finance house.
