Parking at OR Tambo International is run by Airports Company South Africa, the state-owned company that operates the airport. ACSA does not publish a separate parking telephone line; parking queries go through the airport helpdesk.

Be careful which site you are on. A number of commercial operators sell OR Tambo parking, meet-and-greet and off-airport shuttle services on domain names built around the airport name. They are resellers, not ACSA, and the details below are the airport operator itself.

Official contact channels

Use the parking calculator before you travel rather than guessing at a daily rate. Tariffs differ by parking zone and by how long you stay, and the difference between the short-stay and long-stay areas over a week is substantial.

What this organisation provides

If you are parking for more than a couple of days, the remote zones are cheaper but depend on a shuttle. Factor the transfer time into your arrival planning, particularly for an early international departure where check-in closes well before the flight.

Address and operating information

A lost parking ticket is handled at the airport rather than by phone. Expect to prove when you arrived, because the default charge on a lost ticket is normally calculated from the maximum stay rather than from your word.

Support and escalation routes

Keep the airline and the airport apart when complaining. ACSA runs the building, the parking and the security queues; it does not operate flights, and a complaint about a cancelled flight sent to the airport simply gets forwarded.
