Innovation Group Service Plan Contact Details

Verified 16 September 2026Official source onlyIndependent directoryReport a wrong number

Innovation Group sells service plans directly under its Hoot brand. Hoot’s help line is 0861 02 4668 (written as 0861 02 HOOT) and its email address is info@hootcover.co.za. If a car dealer or manufacturer sold you the service plan and Innovation Group runs it for them, use the South African office on 011 790 5200 instead. We checked hootcover.co.za and innovation.group on 16 September 2026.

ContactDetails.co.za is an independent directory with no link to Innovation Group or Hoot. We have no access to your plan, your debit order or a service booking.

Hoot’s warranty terms say to email info@hootcover.co.za or call 0861 02 4668 for anything you cannot sort out in self-service. Hoot publishes no WhatsApp number and no service plan hours. It asks customers for Google reviews and runs Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn pages, but none of these is listed as a support channel.

Product or service support

Innovation Group launched Hoot in July 2023 as an online way to buy and manage a service plan. The Hoot Comprehensive Service Plan covers the parts your manufacturer specifies for scheduled services, plus oil, consumables and labour. You pick 2 services over 24 months or 3 services over 36 months. Each covered service also includes a R500 benefit for wear and tear items. You can “Power Up” the plan with more wear and tear cover. A separate Hoot Wear and Tear Plan covers brake pads, brake discs, wiper blades, batteries and some minor electrical repairs.

To use the plan, log into the Hoot portal and book a service at a Hoot-approved service centre. At the workshop, say you are with Hoot and give your plan number. Hoot says it settles the bill with the service centre, so you do not submit a claim form yourself. Hoot’s general FAQ also says you can use your closest service shop, the manufacturer’s dealer or a preferred provider, and that the portal will suggest three workshops near you if you have none.

Hoot does not list OEM programmes. Innovation Group says it administers products for eight vehicle manufacturers in South Africa but does not name them. A manufacturer’s plan comes with a booklet or schedule that names its administrator. Only call Innovation Group about such a plan if that document names it.

Eligibility, account or policy requirements

  • Hoot covers passenger and light commercial vehicles under 4 200 kg gross vehicle mass.
  • It excludes luxury, electric, hybrid, taxi, rental, exotic, Code 3 rebuilt, modified and motorsport vehicles, and cars with high-performance brakes.
  • The car must not already have an active maintenance plan, and it must stay roadworthy.
  • Your first service claim is subject to a three-month waiting period, and at least one premium must have been paid.
  • You pay for the full product term even after your benefits are used up. Hoot’s FAQ gives that term as 24 months.
  • Update banking details in self-service at least 10 days before the next debit. If a payment is missed, you have a 15-day grace period, after which the plan is cancelled.
  • A DebiCheck mandate is sent to your banking app. Debits show the code INNOVFSP and a reference starting with SERVICE and six digits.

Hoot’s pages show two starting prices: R430 a month on the plan pages and R308 a month in an FAQ answer. Get a quote before you rely on either. Hoot states that its service plans are not insurance. They cover only serviceable parts, not mechanical or electrical breakdowns.

Escalation route

  1. Raise the problem with Hoot on 0861 02 4668 or info@hootcover.co.za and ask for a reference number. Innovation Group’s complaints framework covers Innovation Group Services (Pty) Ltd, the company behind Hoot.
  2. If the outcome still does not satisfy you, ask for the complaint to be escalated internally. The framework says escalation is available for complaints that remain unresolved.
  3. For non-regulated products such as service plans, the July 2025 framework names the FAIS Ombud: 012 762 5000, share call 086 066 3274, info@faisombud.co.za.
  4. If you are unhappy with the service work itself, the same document refers you to the Motor Industry Ombudsman of South Africa on 010 590 8378.
