Innovation Group Warranty Contact Details
For a question or claim on a vehicle warranty or extended warranty that Innovation Group administers in South Africa, phone 011 790 5200 or send the innovation.group contact form with “Warranty” chosen as the subtopic. We read Innovation Group’s website, its South African regulatory documents and the warranty disclosures on its Hoot site (hootcover.co.za) on 16 September 2026.
ContactDetails.co.za is an independent directory. We are not Innovation Group, Hoot or Guardrisk, and we cannot look up a warranty, approve a repair or check a claim.
Official provider route
| What it is for | Contact |
|---|---|
| Warranty and extended warranty questions from vehicle owners | +27 (0)11 790 5200. The contact form shows this number when you pick the service plan or warranty topic and says calling gets a faster response. |
| Written warranty query | innovation.group/contact: “Individual, policyholder or driver”, country “South Africa”, topic “Motor service plan or warranty questions”, subtopic “Warranty” |
| Dealers and workshops doing warranty work | Same form: “Service and repair provider”, then “Current partners”, subtopic “Motor warranty, service and maintenance” |
| Number printed in the Hoot warranty disclosure | 0860 21 0007, shown under the Innovation FSP and Innovation Group Distribution company details |
| Insurer named in the Hoot warranty disclosure | Guardrisk Insurance Company Limited, 011 669 1000, complaints@guardrisk.co.za |
Innovation Group publishes no warranty-only email address and no WhatsApp line. Two numbers appear on its own sites: 011 790 5200 on the innovation.group contact page and 0860 21 0007 in the Hoot disclosure text. We could not tell which desk answers the 0860 number, so start with 011 790 5200 and ask to be transferred if needed.
Product or service support
Most people with an Innovation Group warranty did not buy it from Innovation Group directly. The company’s automotive page says it supplies extended warranties and service plans to vehicle manufacturers and dealerships, with dealer support teams behind them. The Hoot site adds that Innovation Group (FSP 21468) administers products for eight original equipment manufacturers in South Africa, and that Innovation Group Distribution (FSP 49095) administers products for financiers. Neither site names the manufacturers or financiers, so your plan may carry a car brand or a finance house on the cover.
Look at the administrator named in your warranty booklet or policy schedule. If it names Innovation Group, Innovation FSP or Innovation Group Distribution, the numbers above are the right route. If it names a different administrator, contact that company instead, because Innovation Group cannot see policies it does not run.
Hoot, Innovation Group’s direct-to-consumer brand, is not a mechanical warranty. Its service plan and wear and tear plan are described on hootcover.co.za as not being insurance products, and the site says mechanical and electrical breakdowns are not covered under them. A breakdown on a car that only has a Hoot plan is therefore not a Hoot claim.
Eligibility, account or policy requirements
The Hoot warranty disclosure explains who stands behind these policies. Guardrisk Insurance Company Limited (FSP 75) underwrites the benefits under the Short-Term Insurance Act. Innovation Group Distribution acts as the intermediary, and Innovation FSP handles administration and claims. The policy sits in a cell captive arrangement in which Innovation FSP shares in the profits and losses of the business; the disclosure says this does not affect your premium. It lists a binder fee of 17.5% and commission of 12.5%.
According to Hoot’s warranty terms, premiums are collected monthly in advance by debit order. If a payment is missed, cover is not in force. From the second month there is a 15-day grace period, after which the policy is cancelled. Hoot reserves the right to raise the premium once a year after giving 60 days’ notice by email. The terms also allow plan and claim information to be shared with other insurers and the South African Insurance Crime Bureau to fight fraud.
The innovation.group form asks for a policy, claim, order or reference number and the car’s number plate, so have both ready before you call as well. Innovation Group does not publish a separate warranty claim form or a list of documents for warranty claims on its website.
Escalation route
- Lodge the complaint with Innovation Group by phone, the website form or email. Its Complaints Management Framework (July 2025) gives a 60-minute response time for complaints sent to its complaints mailbox during business hours.
- If an insurer underwrites the warranty, you can also write to that insurer. For Hoot warranty policies, the disclosure names Guardrisk at complaints@guardrisk.co.za.
- If the final answer on an insured warranty does not satisfy you, take it to the National Financial Ombud Scheme on 0860 800 900 or info@nfosa.co.za.
- If the problem is the dealer’s or workshop’s repair work rather than the policy decision, the framework points you to the Motor Industry Ombudsman of South Africa at info@miosa.co.za.
