If MBD has contacted you about a debt, call 011 560 6111 or use the MBD self-service portal linked as “Manage my accounts” on mbdinc.co.za. The old mbd.co.za address now forwards to that site. We read mbdinc.co.za, the MBD digital collections portal and the Council for Debt Collectors register on 16 September 2026.

The portal does not print the WhatsApp number, and MBD publishes no separate phone line for paid-up letters. To get a paid-up letter, log in to the portal and choose “Email me my Paid-Up Letter” for the paid-up account. If you cannot log in, call 011 560 6111.

What this organisation provides

Two businesses use the MBD name, and both appear on MBD’s own pages. MBD Inc. is Munnik Basson Dagama Incorporated, a Sandton law firm founded in 1997. It handles pre-legal and legal debt recovery for banks, retailers and telecoms companies, and also works on debt review, insolvency, property foreclosure and repossession. The portal’s footer says the MBD collections brand is a trading division of Nutun Business Services South Africa (Pty) Ltd, which Nutun Limited owns.

We checked the Council for Debt Collectors register on 16 September 2026. Nutun Business Services South Africa (Pty) Ltd is listed under DCA number 0030960/08, valid until 31 August 2027. That is the same number the MBD portal prints. MBD Legal Collections (Pty) Ltd is also listed, as 0055730/12, valid until 27 March 2027. The register has no company called MBD Credit Solutions. The old mbdcs.co.za and mbdcreditsolutions.co.za addresses showed only a webmail login page, so search for MBD, not MBD Credit Solutions.

On the portal you can log a query with a reason, such as “this is not my debt”, “I have already paid”, “I want a copy of my statement” or “the person you are looking for is deceased”. You can also upload proof of payment or a death certificate. We found no link between MBD’s own sites and any business called “Global MBD Africa”.

Address and operating information

MBD Inc. is on the 4th Floor, 115 West Street, Sandown, Sandton 2196. Post goes to Private Bag X10098, Randburg 2125, and legal documents to Docex DX29, Randburg. The firm’s website says it also has a branch office in Umhlanga, Durban, but gives no separate number for it. MBD does not publish call centre hours on these pages.

Support and escalation routes

  1. Log the problem through the portal’s “Log a Query” option or on 011 560 6111. Keep a note of the date and the reference you are given.
  2. If you think a collector has acted unlawfully, check the registration number on the Council for Debt Collectors’ active register. You can complain to the Council on 012 804 9808, by email to info@cfdc.org.za, or with its online complaint form.
  3. A complaint about how attorneys at MBD Inc. behaved goes to the Legal Practice Council, which regulates attorneys (lpc.org.za).

According to the Council for Debt Collectors, only registered debt collectors may collect debts. If someone who says they are from MBD cannot give a registration number that matches the register, do not pay them. Call 011 560 6111 instead.
