Two quite different things are called Nutec in South Africa, and only one of them has a contact desk. Sort out which you want first.

That is a mobile number, and it is the only number this business publishes; there is no landline and no switchboard anywhere on the site. For a company of this kind that is normal rather than alarming, but it does mean you are phoning a person rather than a reception desk, so a message that goes unanswered is better followed with the email.
What this Nutec does
It is a technology and systems integration business. Its published solution areas are media, audio and display (branded MAD, covering digital signage with proof of play), rental management for tenanted property, cybersecurity, point of sale, fashion retail systems, supply chain, critical asset tracking, data analytics and networking. Where to buy fibre cement board instead
- Building merchants and hardware retailers stock it. Large chains list it by name in their brand sections.
- Specialist Nutec suppliers exist with their own branches and their own numbers — deal with the branch nearest you, since board is heavy and delivery cost is a large part of the price.
- Ask for the specific product by name. Boards, ceiling boards, fascia, plank and big six roof sheeting are all sold as Nutec and are not interchangeable.
If you are working with the boards
One thing worth saying plainly. Older fibre cement sheeting in South Africa may contain asbestos; boards sold new today do not. If you are removing existing sheeting from an older building, do not cut, sand or break it before establishing what it is. Asbestos removal is regulated work that must be done by a registered contractor, and the Department of Employment and Labour is the authority on it. New board still produces silica dust when cut, so cut it outdoors with a mask on.
Getting a supplier query answered
- Quote the exact product, the thickness and the sheet size. Board is priced per sheet by thickness.
- Confirm delivery separately — a quoted price often excludes it, and board is bulky.
- Check breakages on delivery before signing. A cracked sheet is very hard to claim for afterwards.
