How to claim on an SAVM plan
- Before any repair is done, contact SAVM for authorisation on 0861 264 346 or at authorizations@savm.co.za.
- Have your plan and vehicle details ready so the claim can be matched to your plan.
- Once the claim is authorised, the repair is done by an authorised repairer. SAVM says it works with about 400 authorised repairers.
What this organisation provides
SA Vehicle Maintenance (Pty) Ltd, company registration number 2000/009578/07, administers two main products:
- RenewTech: covers cosmetic maintenance of the car’s interior and exterior, such as minor dents, scratches, chips and small tears. Repair benefits are available every 90 days, and you do not need to involve your insurer.
- SAVM Drive Plan: a service plan for a set period or kilometre limit, for example 3 years or 45 000 km, whichever comes first. Services use genuine parts at approved dealerships. The plan includes roadside assistance (towing, tyre change, jump-start and key lockout) within South Africa only.
SAVM says its plans are sold at more than 300 dealers across the country. Its product disclosure states that RenewTech and the Drive Plan are not financial products under the FAIS Act.
