Somerset Gas Contact Details
Somerset Gas, the LP gas supplier in Somerset West, lists its phone number as (021) 852 2681, its email as info@somersetgas.co.za and its address as 35 Dirkie Uys Street, Somerset West 7130. The details come from the contact page stored on somersetgas.co.za; the front of that website currently shows only an “under construction” notice, so the contact page is the site’s own published data rather than a page you can browse to. ContactDetails.co.za is an independent directory and cannot book a refill or a delivery, or confirm stock or prices.

Somerset Gas publishes no WhatsApp number, no after-hours line and no trading hours on its website. Phone before you drive over with a cylinder, particularly on a weekend or public holiday. The same phone number, email and street address appear on two separate contact pages stored on the site, one last edited in July 2023 and one in March 2025, so they have stayed consistent for at least two years.
What Somerset Gas sells and does
According to the services page on its website, Somerset Gas offers:
- LP gas delivery and LP gas refills
- Maintenance and repair of gas appliances and cylinders
- Maintenance and cleaning of restaurant gas equipment
- Certificates of Compliance and domestic LP gas installations
- Gas fittings, gas geysers, gas hobs and gas cages
- Camping equipment, firewood, charcoal, anthracite, household coal and paraffin

The online shop stored on the site lists refills and full cylinders from small camping sizes up to 48kg, including Afrox and Total LPG and propane, plus 14kg and 19kg forklift cylinders. Where Somerset Gas is and what to have ready when you call
The published address is 35 Dirkie Uys Street, Somerset West 7130, in the Western Cape. No postal address, branch list or opening hours are given. When you call about a refill or delivery, have these ready so the order can be quoted in one call:
- the cylinder size (for example 9kg, 14kg, 19kg or 48kg) and whether you want a refill or a full cylinder;
- the brand of cylinder you have, since the shop lists Afrox and Total separately;
- your delivery address, and whether it is a home, a restaurant or a business with forklifts;
- for installation or a Certificate of Compliance, the appliances involved and where the cylinder will stand.
Somerset Gas complaints and other things to know
- Before you buy: for a question such as whether a cylinder size is in stock or whether delivery reaches your suburb, phone (021) 852 2681 rather than emailing, because the website shop is not taking orders.
- After a problem: for a problem with a refill, a delivery or work done, phone the counter and follow up in writing to info@somersetgas.co.za with your slip and the date.
- If it stays unresolved: a complaint about goods or services can be taken to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud: 0860 000 272, WhatsApp 081 335 3005 or info@cgso.org.za.
Other companies trade under similar names. Somerset Gas in the United Kingdom is an unrelated heating business, and somersetgas.com is not this company’s website. Before paying for a delivery by EFT, confirm the order by phoning (021) 852 2681 yourself.
