VFS Global Contact Details
VFS Global runs three different visa application centres in Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha), and which one you need depends on the visa. For South African visas and permits (Department of Home Affairs), the VFS centre moved on 22 December 2025 to Mutual Place Building, corner Cape Road and CJ Langenhoven Drive, Newton Park. The UK Visa Application Centre is on the 3rd floor of Greyville House, corner Ring Road, Cape Road and Greyville Road, Greenacres. Home Affairs (DHA) visa centre, Newton Park
VFS Global handles South African visa and permit applications on behalf of the Department of Home Affairs. Its notice of 18 December 2025 says the Port Elizabeth office moved to the Mutual Place Building in Newton Park from 22 December 2025, and that all submissions and collections now happen at the new office. The helpline, 012 425 3000, is open Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 17:00. You can also email info.dhasa@vfshelpline.com or use the “Click to Talk” option on the contact page. Appointments are booked online through the VFS Home Affairs site, which also lists paid additional services.
UK Visa Application Centre, Greenacres
The UK centre’s business hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00. Super Priority Visa submissions are accepted 08:00 to 10:00, and Prime Time appointments run 08:00 to 09:00 and 16:00 to 17:00. Optional services can be bought online or by card on site, but UKVI’s Priority and Super Priority services can only be bought online. VFS says it does not give updates on applications or general UK visa advice; those enquiries go to UK Visas and Immigration’s central support team. VFS gives UKVI’s usual decision times as 15 working days from your biometrics appointment for most non-settlement visas, and 60 working days for settlement visas.
Lesotho visa centre, Walmer
The Lesotho centre charges a service fee of R1,550, paid online or in advance at the bank. Submissions are accepted Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 15:00, and passports can be collected 10:00 to 15:00. The Lesotho helpline, 012 425 3024, is open Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 17:00.
Visiting a VFS centre
- Only applicants may enter. Exceptions are a parent or guardian accompanying a minor, and someone assisting an elderly, medically infirm or disabled applicant; tell security when you arrive.
- Phones must be on silent and put away while staff help you. Laptops, tablets and headphones must stay in your bag.
- VFS says its centres have wheelchair ramps and lifts, and staff can assist customers with special needs.
- Centres close on South African public holidays; the UK centre lists 24 September 2026 (Heritage Day) and 4 November 2026 (Local Government Election Day) among its closures.
Complaints and feedback
For problems with VFS’s own service (staff conduct, appointments or process handling), use the feedback or complaints form on the relevant VFS country site. Include your name and contact details, the centre and date of your visit, a description of the issue, and your visa type and reference number. VFS says it aims to reply to Home Affairs and Lesotho feedback within 2 business days. Complaints about a UK visa decision or its timing go to UK Visas and Immigration, not VFS.
