Hoedspruit has both a public clinic and a private hospital, and they are very different things. The public clinic falls under the Limpopo Department of Health, which does not publish its facility contact numbers online, and the departmental website is currently unavailable. The private hospital does publish its numbers, and they are below.

What the private hospital provides
- A 24 hour emergency service, with a dedicated emergency unit
- Inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical care, including general surgery and orthopaedics
- Maternity services, paediatric care, ICU and a neonatal ICU
- Day procedures, ophthalmology, radiology and an on-site pharmacy
- Specialist consultations through sessional rooms and an attached medical centre
Visiting hours
- Open visiting: 09:00 to 20:00
- Protected patient rest period: 14:00 to 15:00, when visiting is paused
- A maximum of two visitors per patient at a time
The public clinic, and where else to go
- The public clinic in Hoedspruit is a primary health care facility under the Limpopo Department of Health. No official provincial source currently publishes its telephone number, so it is not reproduced here from unofficial directories
- For a life-threatening emergency do not phone a clinic. Use 10177 for an ambulance, or 112 from a cellphone
- A public-sector patient who needs a facility number can ask at the Mopani District health office, or go to the clinic in person during weekday working hours
