Mediclinic has no hospital called Mediclinic Pretoria. It runs four separate hospitals in the city, each with its own switchboard and emergency number, and two of them sit in the same suburb on the same dialling exchange.

Services at this location
Muelmed and Heart Hospital are both in Arcadia and both dial on the 012 440 exchange, which makes them the pair most easily confused: Muelmed on 012 440 0600 and Heart Hospital on 012 440 0200. Muelmed is also the only one of the four that publishes two Emergency Department numbers. Mediclinic Midstream, on 086 113 1415, is often counted as Pretoria but is a separate hospital in Midstream, south of the city.
Parent organisation
Mediclinic Southern Africa operates all four. The 084 124 number printed on each hospital page is ER24, the group ambulance service, answered nationally, so it will not tell you which Pretoria hospital you are being sent to.
