Flexicare covers everyday healthcare outside hospital. The listed benefits include unlimited GP consultations, made up of four direct GP visits with further visits available through a nurse referral or the Intercare online platform. It also includes virtual GP and nurse consultations, dentistry, optometry, medicine, a flu vaccine, blood tests, procedures in GP rooms and a health check.
Flexicare Plus adds one out-of-hospital specialist consultation per member per year, up to a R2,090 benefit limit. Each adult member can earn up to R1,000 a year in their FlexiFund based on health check results. The FlexiFund pays claims once day-to-day benefits run out.
