KeyHealth Medical Scheme is a South African registered medical scheme. Its correct website is keyhealthmedical.co.za – the shorter keyhealth.co.za domain is parked and is not the scheme. The details below were read from the KeyHealth contact page on 1 September 2026.

What this organisation provides
KeyHealth offers medical scheme cover across the Essence, Origin, Equilibrium, Silver, Gold and Platinum options, with additional benefits including Health Booster.
Several benefits are run by contracted managed care partners, not by KeyHealth, and contacting KeyHealth for these adds a step:
- Hospital pre-authorisation: 0860 671 060, [email protected]
- Oncology programme: 0860 671 060, [email protected]
- Disease risk management: 0860 671 060, [email protected]
- Dental (DENIS) pre-authorisation: 0860 104 926, [email protected]
- Dental enquiries: [email protected]; dental claims: [email protected]
- LifeSense disease management: 0860 50 60 80, [email protected]; [email protected] for prescriptions and pathology results
- IsoLeso optical management: 011 340 9200, [email protected]
- Chronic medication registration (providers): 0800 132 345
- Easy-ER, confirming child dependants: 080 111 0215
Emergency and ambulance: Netcare 911 on 082 911. That is a crisis line – use it directly in an emergency rather than phoning the scheme first.

Client Service Centre hours: Monday to Friday 07:30 to 18:00, excluding public holidays.
Walk-in office hours: Monday to Friday 07:30 to 15:30, excluding public holidays.

Support and escalation routes
Get hospital pre-authorisation before a planned admission – a claim can be reduced or rejected without it. Have your membership number and the treating provider’s practice number ready.
Fraud and ethics line: 087 023 0161, [email protected]. KeyHealth also publishes a compliments and complaints route on its site.
If the scheme does not resolve a dispute, a medical scheme member may take it to the Council for Medical Schemes, the statutory regulator, which adjudicates member complaints at no cost. Members also have rights to prescribed minimum benefits regardless of option.
