Official Medihelp provider support route
The Healthcare Professionals Zone at supplier-online.medihelp.co.za is Medihelp’s portal for providers: you register there, then sign in with a username and password. Radiologists request MRI and CT approval online through the Zone.
For provider enquiries, call 086 0100 678, or +27 12 334 2000 from outside South Africa, or email enquiries@medihelp.co.za. The Client Care centre is open Monday to Thursday 07:00 to 17:00 and Friday 08:00 to 16:00.
Network registration and deregistration are handled by email, with a separate mailbox for each network: gpnetwork@medihelp.co.za for GPs, pharmacy@medihelp.co.za for pharmacies and specialist@medihelp.co.za for specialists.
Medihelp also works with partner providers: Dental Risk Company for dental procedures (087 943 9618), Opticlear for optical services (087 359 1525), LifeSense for the HIV/Aids programme (0860 50 60 80), and Dis-Chem Direct (010 589 2788) and Medipost (012 426 4000) for medicine.
What you need before contacting Medihelp
Providers need a Healthcare Professionals Zone login for online requests, so register on the portal first. For network registration, know which network you are joining (GP, pharmacy or specialist) so your email goes to the right mailbox.
Members should know their plan. Network plans (MedMove!, MedVital Elect, MedAdd Elect, MedReach and MedPrime Elect) need network providers for full cover, and using a non-network doctor may mean a co-payment. MedMove! members need a referral from a network GP to see a specialist. Cancer treatment and eye care must be obtained through Medihelp’s healthcare partners, whatever the plan.

- Members: use the Provider search at medihelp.co.za/connect/provider-search to confirm a doctor or hospital is in your plan’s network before treatment.
