The Healthcare Professionals Zone is for doctors, pharmacies and other healthcare providers to register and sign in with a username and password. Medihelp provider login and Healthcare Professionals Zone
The Medihelp provider login is through the Healthcare Professionals Zone at supplier-online.medihelp.co.za. Providers register on the portal and then sign in with a username and password.
Radiologists also use the Healthcare Professionals Zone to request MRI and CT approval online. Providers who need help with the Zone or another provider enquiry can call 086 0100 678, call +27 12 334 2000 from outside South Africa, or email enquiries@medihelp.co.za.
Client Care hours are Monday to Thursday 07:00 to 17:00 and Friday 08:00 to 16:00.
Medihelp GP, pharmacy and specialist network contacts
Network registration and deregistration are handled through separate email addresses. GPs use gpnetwork@medihelp.co.za, pharmacies use pharmacy@medihelp.co.za and specialists use specialist@medihelp.co.za.
Before sending a network request, identify whether the request is for the GP, pharmacy or specialist network so it can be sent to the relevant mailbox.
Medihelp network provider search for members
Members can use the Provider search at medihelp.co.za/connect/provider-search to check for a network provider. Members should know their plan before checking which provider network applies.
Network plans MedMove!, MedVital Elect, MedAdd Elect, MedReach and MedPrime Elect need network providers for full cover, and using a non-network doctor may mean a co-payment. MedMove! members need a referral from a network GP to see a specialist. Cancer treatment and eye care must be obtained through Medihelp’s healthcare partners, whatever the plan.
Dental, optical, HIV/Aids and medicine provider contacts
Medihelp works with partner providers for specific services. Dental Risk Company handles dental procedures on 087 943 9618, while Opticlear handles optical services on 087 359 1525.
For the LifeSense HIV/Aids programme, the contact number is 0860 50 60 80. Medicine contacts include Dis-Chem Direct on 010 589 2788 and Medipost on 012 426 4000.
