The SABC labels its complaints mailbox “BCCSA Contacts” on its own contact page, so if you are looking for where a broadcasting complaint goes, complaints@sabc.co.za is the address it gives.
Eight mailboxes, one switchboard
The SABC publishes one general number but eight separate addresses, and the mailbox is what actually gets your query to the right desk.

Note the split between the two procurement addresses. Tender queries and vendor registration are different mailboxes, tenderqueries@ and vendormaster@, and sending a supplier registration to the tender office will slow it down.
Job applications go to HRSharedServices@sabc.co.za rather than to any newsroom or departmental address. The SABC also runs a separate vacancy portal.
Reporting a transmission or signal fault
This is the part of the SABC contact form most people miss, and it is the right route for poor reception rather than the switchboard.
The SABC’s contact form has a dedicated Transmission / Signal category. It asks for the device you were using, the address where the fault occurred, the province, and the specific station or channel affected.
The device list covers a car stereo, cellphone, home stereo, computer or laptop, tablet, television, wireless radio and decoder or receiver. Pick the one you actually used, because a car stereo fault and a decoder fault are different problems.
Have the address and the time of day ready before you fill it in. Signal faults are location-specific, and a report without an address cannot be investigated.
Which station to name
The form lists every SABC service, so name the exact one.
On radio: Ukhozi FM, Umhlobo Wenene FM, Lesedi FM, Metro FM, RSG, 5FM, Radio 2000, Thobela FM, Motsweding FM, Munghana Lonene FM, Ligwalagwala FM, Phala Phala FM, Lotus FM, Good Hope FM, TRUFm and Channel Africa.
On television and streaming: SABC 1, SABC 2, SABC 3, SABC+, SABC Sport, SABC Education, Encore and SABC News Lehae.
The same nine provinces appear as a separate field, so you are identifying both where you are and what you were listening to or watching.
TV licences are handled elsewhere
Licence renewals, logins and balances do not go through the SABC switchboard.
The SABC directs TV licence queries to 011 330 9555, open 08:00 to 18:00 on weekdays and 08:00 to 13:00 on Saturdays, excluding Sundays and public holidays. The licence website is tvlic.co.za.
Renewals and account logins run through that site rather than sabc.co.za. Calling 011 714 9111 about a licence balance will only get you transferred.
Getting content onto the SABC
Producers and suppliers have their own routes, and none of them is the switchboard.
The SABC publishes a commissioning process for content submission, with its own policy document and forms for commissioning television content. Programme purchases, meaning selling finished content to the SABC, go to contentsales@sabc.co.za.
Advertising is separate again, at sabcsales@sabc.co.za, and the SABC runs a dedicated sales division and an e-tenders portal with supplier registration alongside it.

The SABC also runs public tours, listed as their own category on the contact form, so a tour booking is a separate request from a general enquiry.
Phone 011 714 9111 before travelling. A broadcaster’s head office is not a walk-in service centre, and most queries are handled by one of the mailboxes above.
