Which Trollope mailbox to use
Use the commercial mailbox for tenders, quotations and contracting matters rather than the general one, since the company separates them. Send job applications to the recruitment mailbox only, and be wary of anyone requesting a payment for a job at a mining contractor, as recruitment fees charged to candidates are not legitimate.
What Trollope Mining Services does
Trollope is an opencast mining contractor working on medium to large scale projects. Its published services cover opencast mining, crushing and screening, mine infrastructure works, bulk earthworks, rehabilitation and plant hire. The site also publishes health and safety information, ISO and BBBEE certification details and a social responsibility section, which are the documents a prospective client or subcontractor is usually asked to check.
Trollope Mining Services address and operating hours
The office is at Elandsfontein 412JR, Ekurhuleni, with post to PO Box 10046. Note the operating hours, because Friday is short: Monday to Thursday from 07:30 to 16:30, and Friday from 07:30 to 15:00 only. A call placed late on a Friday afternoon will not be answered, which is easy to miss when the rest of the week runs to 16:30.
Safety concerns and employment disputes
For a health and safety concern on a mining operation, the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy is the regulator through its mine health and safety inspectorate, and the Mine Health and Safety Act gives employees the right to leave a workplace that presents a serious danger. An employment dispute goes to the CCMA.
