Makro Cape Gate is in Brackenfell in the northern suburbs of Cape Town. Makro publishes a single national contact set for every store in the country, while the address and trading hours differ from store to store.
Because the contact number is shared nationally, say that your query is about Makro Cape Gate when you contact the retailer. For stock or collection questions, identifying the store is necessary because the agent has no way of knowing you mean Cape Gate rather than another Makro branch.
Makro Cape Gate opening hours and closing time
- Monday to Friday: 09:00 to 18:00
- Saturday: 08:00 to 17:00
- Sunday: 09:00 to 16:00
- Public holidays: weekdays 09:00 to 16:00, Saturday 08:00 to 16:00, Sunday 09:00 to 16:00
- Closed on Christmas Day and New Year Day
Makro Cape Gate opens at 09:00 on weekdays and closes at 18:00 from Monday to Friday. On Saturday it closes at 17:00, while the Sunday closing time is 16:00.
The weekday opening time is worth checking before an early visit. Cape Gate opens at 09:00 on weekdays, half an hour later than several of the Gauteng stores, so planning a visit around another branch’s hours may mean arriving before the doors open.
Makro Cape Gate address
The Makro Cape Gate address is Okavango Road, Brackenfell, Cape Town, 7560.
Okavango Road is the main route through that part of Brackenfell and carries heavy traffic around the adjacent retail centres, so allow extra time on a Saturday morning.
Makro Liquor Cape Gate and store services
Makro operates warehouse-format retail across food, liquor, general merchandise and trade supplies. The store sells to both the public and registered trade customers, and Makro operates separate liquor outlets at some sites, listed individually in its store finder.
If you are shopping as a business rather than a household, the trade side has its own account and pricing arrangements. The existing information recommends setting this up before a large purchase rather than at the till.
Orders, refunds and product complaints
For orders, refunds and product complaints, use 0860 600 999 or info@makro.co.za, quoting the store and your till slip or order number.
Keep the till slip. With no store-level number, a complaint is traced through the transaction record rather than by calling the branch directly, so the slip or online order number is what makes the query actionable.
Makro head office is at 16 Peltier Drive, Sunninghill, Sandton, 2157.
For unresolved consumer complaints, the page lists the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud on 0860 000 272, free of charge. A complaint about liquor trading hours or sales is a matter for the provincial liquor authority rather than the retailer.
