All three customer lines are 0800 numbers. Use the one that matches your query: the Customer Care Line for stores and products, the Xtra Savings line for the rewards card, and the Sixty60 line for app orders and deliveries.
Shoprite customer care email
Shoprite does not publish a general customer care email address. For store, product and service queries, use the contact form on the Talk to Us page at shoprite.co.za/help-me/talk-to-us. Shoprite says it replies to form queries within 48 hours. You can attach a slip or photo, but it must be a JPG, PNG or PDF file under 5 MB.
There are two published customer email addresses, and each covers only its own service:
- xtrasavings@shoprite.co.za for the Xtra Savings card and rewards.
- help@sixty60.co.za for Sixty60 app orders, deliveries and returns.
Shoprite WhatsApp number
Shoprite’s Talk to Us page lists no WhatsApp number for customer service, and we found none anywhere else on shoprite.co.za. Some websites list WhatsApp numbers for Shoprite, but we could not confirm any of them on a Shoprite website, so we have left them out. To reach Shoprite, call one of the 0800 numbers above or use the online form.
Shoprite funeral cover WhatsApp number
Shoprite used to have web pages about a free monthly funeral benefit and about funeral cover with OUTsurance. Both pages were offline when we checked them on 19 September 2026. Shoprite’s websites do not currently list a WhatsApp number or phone line for funeral cover. If you have a funeral policy, use the contact details in your policy documents, or call the Customer Care Line on 0800 01 07 09 and ask where to direct your query.

Shoprite Holdings does not publish a head office email address. Its contact page takes media and business enquiries through web forms. It also asks customers to take their queries to the brand they shopped at, which here is Shoprite’s own customer care line and Talk to Us form.

On Saturday 19 September 2026 the directory showed Shoprite Avonwood closing at 20:00. It does not publish a separate phone number for the store. For store queries, call the Customer Care Line on 0800 01 07 09. Before you visit, check the store’s trading hours in the store directory at shoprite.co.za/store-directory-and-leaflets. The same directory also lists Bishop Lavis, Vasco and Goodwood stores.
Xtra Savings card help
- You must be 18 or older to sign up for Xtra Savings.
- If you are new to Xtra Savings and sign up in the app, you get a virtual card that you can use in the app or on the website.
- For help with an Xtra Savings card or profile, Shoprite’s help centre sends you to the Sixty60 Help Centre on 0800 00 6060. The Xtra Savings Support Centre on 0800 33 33 85 is also available.
Returns and refunds
- You can return a defective item to the store for up to 1 year from the original delivery date.
- Grocery items cannot be collected for return. Only non-food items that meet Shoprite’s criteria can. An item that cannot be collected can be returned to a store.
- To see whether an item can be collected for return, open your order history and select the item.
- To dispute the outcome of a return, call 0800 00 6060.
