Telkom Fibre Contact Details
The Telkom fibre contact number for faults is 10210, Telkom’s technical support short code for fixed broadband, which includes fibre even when the line runs on a partner network such as Vumatel or Frogfoot. Billing, sales and cancelling a fibre package go to 10213. You can also log a fault online at apps.telkom.co.za/logafault with your Telkom number, or use WhatsApp self-service on 081 160 1700 for account tasks.
ContactDetails.co.za is an independent directory, not Telkom or Openserve. We cannot test a line or book a technician.

Telkom publishes no fibre-only phone number and no fibre-only WhatsApp line. Its WhatsApp service is described as self-service for account tasks, not as a fault desk, so a line that is down should be reported on 10210 or the online fault form. Telkom’s contact page does not publish call centre hours for 10210 or 10213, and gives no postal address for customer queries. For face-to-face help it points to the store locator on telkom.co.za.
Reporting a Telkom fibre fault
Phone 10210 or log the fault online at apps.telkom.co.za/logafault, where the form runs a fault analysis once you enter your Telkom line number. When reporting a fault on a partner-network fibre line, Telkom says the serial number (SN) or your customer ID can be used as the reference. Before you log it, check for a notice: Telkom’s service charter says planned interruptions are announced by SMS or on its website seven days ahead and again the day before, so an outage with an announced date is not a fault to report. Fault tracking and troubleshooting are also on gethelp.telkom.co.za or through Thuso, the virtual assistant on telkom.co.za.
Telkom commits to acknowledging a complaint within 48 hours with a reference number. Keep that reference: if the fault is not fixed within 14 days, or you disagree with the outcome, email the Escalation Centre at NatCC@telkom.co.za and quote it. If the Escalation Centre does not resolve it, complain to ICASA at consumer@icasa.org.za or on 012 568 3000. Keep a note of the date the service went down, because Telkom’s charter says you are entitled to a rebate for contracted services you paid for but did not receive, limited to the days of service lost and pro-rated against your subscription.
Telkom fibre packages and networks
Telkom SA SOC Limited sells fibre as an internet service provider over several networks: its own group’s Openserve network, and Frogfoot, Vumatel and MetroFibre where they cover your address. Telkom Core Fibre is asymmetrical (50/25 or 100/50 Mbps) and Telkom Endless Fibre is symmetrical at lower speeds, with options up to 500/250 Mbps; both are uncapped with no fair usage policy. There is also Telkom Easy Connect Fibre and a prepaid Compact-Fibre product on Openserve.
Installation, routers and cancelling Telkom fibre
Useful rules from Telkom’s fibre FAQs:
- On partner networks, the network operator’s technicians install the line, and appointments are agreed by phone first; Telkom says no technician arrives unannounced.
- Telkom couriers the router once the order is activated and sends the username and password by SMS or email.
- You may use your own ICASA-approved, TR-069 compliant fibre router, but Telkom will not support its setup.
- Cancelling a 12-month contract early brings a pro-rata charge for the remaining router and installation cost.
- On prepaid Compact-Fibre, a call-out fee applies when a technician is asked to attend a fault caused on the customer’s side, and Telkom credits data for downtime caused by a fault on its network.
Frequently asked questions
What is the Telkom fibre contact number?
Call 10210 for fibre faults and technical support, or 10213 for sales, billing and cancellations. Telkom publishes no separate fibre-only number.
How do I report a Telkom fibre fault?
Phone 10210 or log it at apps.telkom.co.za/logafault with your Telkom line number. Telkom commits to acknowledging a complaint within 48 hours with a reference number.
Does Telkom Fibre have a WhatsApp number?
Yes, 081 160 1700, but it is WhatsApp self-service for account tasks such as usage, upgrades, recharges and deals, and it starts with “Hi”. It is not a fault desk: report a down line on 10210 or the online fault form.
What is the Telkom fibre email address?
NatCC@telkom.co.za is the Escalation Centre address, for a complaint not resolved within 14 days, sent with your reference number.
My fibre is down but Vumatel or Frogfoot runs the line. Do I still call Telkom?
Yes. Telkom’s fibre FAQs say 10210 applies to fixed broadband even when the line runs on a partner network, and the serial number or your customer ID can be used as the fault reference.
