DPD working hours: what time does DPD open?
DPD Laser’s customer care and branches work Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00 and Saturday 08:00 to 12:00. DPD is closed on Sundays and public holidays.
DPD Laser login: myDPD and DPDL Unity
Account holders log in to myDPD at unity.dpdl.co.za, the DPDL Unity login page. It offers username and password sign-in, DPD Identity sign-in, a guest login, delivery tracking and password recovery. The Customer Zone gives authorised account holders online tracking, billing and delivery information and online quotations. If you have forgotten your username or password, contact your account manager or DPD’s IT team on 010 600 2323 or queries@dpdlaser.co.za.
Dawn Wing contact number
The dawnwing.co.za website now redirects to DPD South Africa’s site, dpd.com/za/en, although DPD’s own pages do not mention the Dawn Wing name. For a parcel you would have sent through Dawn Wing, use DPD customer care on 010 600 2323 or queries@dpdlaser.co.za.
DPD delivery times and Saturday delivery
DPD delivers parcels that are tracked by a parcel number in myDPD or the DPD app, where you can move a delivery to another day or location. DPD’s published delivery times are:
- Overnight between Main Centres: delivered within a 40km radius of the main city centre by 11:00 the following business day. The Main Centres are Bloemfontein, Cape Town, Durban, East London, George, Johannesburg, Kimberley, Nelspruit, Pietermaritzburg, Polokwane, Port Elizabeth and Pretoria.
- Outside the Main Centres: delivered within 48 hours. Outlying areas beyond regional towns may only be serviced on specific days, so check whether DPD delivers in your area.
- Same Day Express between Main Centres: depends on flights. The parcel must be lodged at least 1 hour before departure and is delivered within 2 hours of arrival. Local same-day parcels are delivered within 2 hours of collection.
DPD does not deliver on Saturdays as standard. Saturday Delivery is a paid add-on service with a surcharge; call customer care on 010 600 2323 for a quote.
How much does DPD cost?
DPD does not publish a price list. Account holders get a domestic quote in myDPD, and others submit the online enquiry on DPD’s contact page. For an international quote, contact DPD’s Internationals team on 010 600 2323 or intcsd@dpdlaser.co.za.

DPD also lists agency points at Kokstad, Port Shepstone, Pietermaritzburg, Louis Trichardt (Makhado), Modimolle (Nylstroom), Calvinia and Springbok. Those are run by agents and DPD publishes a cellphone number rather than a landline for each, so check the current number on the locations page before you set out.
The 087 prefix is not a premium number. It is a standard business voice line, charged like any other call.
DPD Laser Durban, Cape Town, Kimberley and Vryburg
From the table above: DPD Laser Durban is on 087 759 7400 at 20 Marshall Drive, Mount Edgecombe; Cape Town is on 087 759 7600 at 15-23 Munich Street, Airport Industria; Kimberley is on 087 759 7440; and Vryburg is on 087 759 7391. DPD lists no Richards Bay branch or agency. Its KwaZulu-Natal points are Durban, Kokstad, Newcastle, Port Shepstone and Pietermaritzburg, so for Richards Bay use Durban or 010 600 2323.
Branches, agencies and the gateway
DPD splits its South African network three ways. Full branches have a manager and a depot. Agencies are run by independent contractors on DPD’s behalf. The Airport Operations Gateway at OR Tambo is not a public counter at all: it sits in the foreign airline cargo section and handles international freight moving through the airport.
That distinction matters when you are told to collect a parcel. A branch can hold and hand over a consignment; an agency point may have shorter hours and less counter space, and the gateway is not somewhere a member of the public collects from.
Most branches run on the shared 087 759 range, which routes into the same telephony platform. The exceptions are Johannesburg on 010 600 2323, the gateway on 011 961 4800, Bloemfontein on 051 448 6421 and the Vaal agency on 016 010 1155, which kept geographic numbers.
Before you call a branch
Have your waybill number. Tracking is the first thing DPD points customers at, and both the website and the call centre work from that number.
For a tracking question, the track and trace tool on the site usually answers faster than a branch, and the company says so on its own contact page.
Branch numbers are for collections, deliveries and counter queries at that depot. Account applications, integration and billing go through the national number or the online enquiry form.
The DPD locations page lists a named branch manager for each depot. We do not republish those names, because staff change while the branch number and address do not.
In North West? The DPD Laser Klerksdorp branch address and number are on our DPD Laser Klerksdorp contact details page.
