Intercape is a South African intercity coach operator running scheduled long-distance services, charters and parcel logistics. The contact details below were read from the Intercape contact page on 31 August 2026.

Official contact channels

Intercape publishes an explicit warning worth repeating: use only the phone numbers shown on intercape.co.za, and do not use numbers found through Google. Fake booking and refund numbers for coach operators are a known scam, and a company issuing that warning on its own contact page is telling you the problem is active.

The practical test: a genuine Intercape agent does not ask you to pay into a personal bank account, send money by instant EFT to an individual, or share a one-time PIN. Any of those means you are not talking to Intercape.

What this organisation provides

Intercape states it runs 230 coaches over 150 routes from 36 sales offices. Services span InterCity travel, Inter-Connect feeder routes, luxury charters, parcel services and a loyalty programme, across a fleet range that includes the Megaliner, Sleepliner, Mainliner and Budgetliner classes.

Those fleet names matter when you contact them, because they are different products rather than trim levels – a Sleepliner booking and a Budgetliner booking on the same route have different seating and different fares. Quote the class you booked, not just the route.

Parcel services are a separate business line with their own mailbox. A consignment query sent to info@ will be redirected to logistics@, so send it there first.

Address and operating information

Address: Corner of Staal and Research Roads, Pretoria West, South Africa.

The call centre runs 24 hours, which is unusual among South African transport operators and reflects coaches departing and arriving through the night. Sales offices at terminals keep their own hours and are not the same as the call centre.

The 021 dialling code is Cape Town even though the address above is in Pretoria – the number is a call centre line, not a switchboard at that building.

Support and escalation routes

Raise booking, delay and refund matters on +27 21 380 4400 with your booking reference, then confirm in writing to [email protected] so there is a record. Note the ticket terms before requesting a refund – fare rules differ by class and by how far ahead the change is made.

For a lost or damaged parcel, quote the consignment reference to [email protected] and keep proof of what was sent.

Unresolved passenger complaints fall under the Consumer Protection Act and can go to the National Consumer Commission. Operating licence, roadworthiness and driver conduct concerns belong instead with the provincial regulatory entity or the Department of Transport, which regulate public passenger transport.
