VUT’s Credit Management page says returning students who owe the university cannot continue with registration until credit management approves a payment arrangement. To arrange payment, download the Deed of Suretyship and payment arrangement forms, upload them with your supporting documents on the Student ITS iEnabler portal, and email credit-management@vut.ac.za for confirmation. VUT replies to your VUT student email address, so activate it and keep your contact details up to date.
Registration
Registration is done online through the ITS iEnabler platform, which works off campus, and VUT says no walk-ins are allowed. The national student registration fee is R2,500. International students pay 100% of the annual tuition fees upfront, including residence fees. Pay at an Absa branch or ATM at least an hour before you register, or at least 48 hours before if you pay from another bank. Confirmed NSFAS-funded and other sponsored students may not need to pay the registration fee.
Student support services
VUT’s Student Counselling and Support offers individual counselling, group counselling, workshops, career guidance, psychometric testing, social work services, spiritual guidance and crisis support. For funding, the Financial Aid and Bursaries page covers NSFAS, SETA bursaries and the Fundi student loan. Residence placement is handled by VUT’s accommodation office. Once residences are full, students are referred to the list of accredited off-campus accommodation on the VUT website.

Applying to VUT for 2027
VUT’s homepage says undergraduate applications for 2027 close on 30 September 2026. You can apply and track your application online through the Student Self Service portal. For admission questions, call 016 950 9276 or 016 950 7671, or email admissions@vut.ac.za. International applicants can use the International Student section of the website.
